Legal experts have called for building a robust online dispute resolution (ODR) platform to ensure that small cases do not end up before higher courts. The ODR platform is being seen as a major move to unclog courts and improve the ease of doing business, while helping resolve disputes faster.

Government think tank Niti Aayog is piloting the ODR concept and is drawing up a roadmap for using it as a tool for resolution of disputes, focussing on small-and medium-value cases.
